This 3 night visit to Deception Valley Lodge on the outskirts of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve is designed to be easily combined with a safari in the Okavango Delta in Botswana: the lodge is a beautifully constructed family-run retreat and offers day and night game drives and walks, often led by bushmen guides.

Days 1-3
3 nights at Deception Valley Lodge (full board & activities) | Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Botswana
Arriving in Maun, you'll be transferred by light aircraft to Deception Valley Lodge for 3 nights. This is a beautiful lodge with eight stylish and spacious thatched cottages with en-suite baths and outdoor showers. Bushmen guides will lead you on walks, and day and night game drives are organised. If visiting in the first four months of the year, it may be possible to organise whole day trips into some of the pans in the CKGR. There's an extra cost for these trips, and they are very long days, but they're well worth it.Day 4
If you are at the end of your trip, you will fly from Maun back to London via Jo'burg. If just beginning, you will be transferred back to Maun to head off (usually by light aircraft) on your chosen Botswana safari.
