Sitatunga safari

Sitatunga safari: In full

This Botswana safari has you staying in two different areas in the Okavango Delta where you will stay for a total of 7 nights in two top safari camps: Xaranna or Xudum Camp and the newly rebuilt (opening in July 2014) Sandibe Safari Lodge. Both these areas are rich in bird life, among a variety of other wildlife. While big game is not the main stay at either Xaranna or Xudum, Sandibe does have lion and leopard as permanent predators.

This Botswana safari can also easily be combined with a visit to Livingstone in Zambia or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone or trips to Victoria Falls for examples of the add-on options, and the costs.

The trip is an individual trip, and can be tailor-made and adapted to suit you.

Include:

Days 1-3

3 nights at Xaranna Okavango Delta Lodge (full board & activities) | Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

Xaranna Lodge is set amidst intricate waterways in Botswana's stunning Okavango Delta.Beginning in Maun, you will be met and transferred to a light aircraft flight to Xaranna or Xudum. From the airstrip, it is about a 1.5 - 2 hour game drive and boat transfer to camp. Both these camps are very smart. The scenery is lovely and bird life spectacular. However while there is a variety of wildlife to be seen this isn’t traditionally a big game destination. You will be based at either of these camps for 3 nights.

Days 4-7

4 nights at Sandibe Safari Lodge (full board & activities) | Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

After your morning activity, you will board a small plane for a short hop to your next camp. The Sandibe Reserve includes a variety of landscapes. Here during your 3-night stay at the newly rebuilt Sandibe Safari Lodge you will search for a variety of wildlife with your knowledgeable guide.

Day 8

From Sandibe, a light aircraft flight back to Maun, will connect you with your own onward travel arrangements.
