This Botswana safari visits two completely contrasting areas over 7 nights. Start with the only permanent camp within the Nxai Pan National Park before heading to the Kwara Reserve in the Okavango Delta. Both Kwara CampNxai Pan Camp use expert trackers as well as knowledgeable guides on their activities, and this itinerary has the potential to yield some particularly great summer game-viewing opportunities. Nxai Pan Camp is also well situated to visit the renowned Baines Baobabs.

Day 1

Begin with a convenient overnight flight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4

3 nights at Nxai Pan Camp (full board & activities) | Kalahari's Salt Pans, Botswana

After a relatively short transit period in Jo'burg it's only a 2-hour flight with Air Botswana to Maun. Your safari starts when you board a light aircraft for 3 nights at Nxai Pan Camp, still the only permanent camp within the Nxai Pan National Park. In addition to game drives, the camp is well situated to visit the renowned Baines Baobabs and on a clear night the desert skies are a feast for star gazers.

Days 5-8

4 nights at Kwara Camp (full board & activities) | Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

You will be transferred back to Maun by light aircraft, to connect with a scenic flight transfer to the northern reaches of the delta. Here you'll find superb wildlife viewing through dry open areas surrounded by floodplains. A network of lagoons and deep water channels also offer the chance to explore by boat, its particularly worth visiting the nearby Gcodikwe Lagoon where the heronry is a real spectacle from Sept to Jan, during your 4-night stay at Kwara Camp.

Day 9

Leaving the lush delta behind you, you take a light aircraft transfer back to Maun. A 2-hour scheduled Air Botswana flight takes you to Johannesburg where you connect onto a scheduled overnight flight back to Heathrow.

Day 10

You'll arrive early at London Heathrow giving you plenty of time to travel home, hopefully with plenty of memories from a superb Botswana holiday.
