This excellent value Botswana safari is a special offer for July 2012. It divides its first 6 nights between Lagoon Camp in the wildlife rich Kwando Reserve and Kwara Camp in the Okavango Delta. Expert trackers as well as knowledgeable guides will lead you on all activities at both camps. Explore the bush with them in search of lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dogs, which the Kwando Reserve is particularly well known for.

The second part of this unique safari takes place at the Nxai Pan National Park. Stay in luxury en-suite chalets at the Nxai Pan Camp, the first permanent camp within the park.


Day 1

A scheduled overnight flight takes you from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4

3 nights at Kwara Camp (full board & activities) | Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

Traditional Meru-style tented rooms spread out either side of the central main area.After a quick transit in Jo'burg you connect to a short Air Botswana flight to Maun. Transfer to a light aircraft for your scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. It's a short drive from the airstrip to the camp where you usually arrive in time for a late lunch. Spend 3 nights here on safari drives, night drives, guided walks, boat trips and mekoro (dug-out canoe) excursions from Kwara Camp.

Days 5-7

3 nights at Lagoon Camp (full board & activities) | Kwando-Linyanti area, Botswana

Lagoon Camp is spread along the bank of the Kwando River.After a morning activity you take a light aircraft flight lasting approx. 40 minutes to the northern Kwando Reserve. This area is frequented by herds of buffalo and elephant and is particularly well-known for its predator sightings, but don't forget to keep an eye out for more elusive species such as sable and roan antelope. Spend 3 nights overlooking the Kwando River at Lagoon Camp.

Days 8-10

3 nights at Nxai Pan Camp (full board & activities) | Kalahari's Salt Pans, Botswana

Here are some recent pictures that Nxai Pan Camp have sent to us.Fly back over the Okavango Delta to Maun where you'll be transferred by light aircraft, to the Nxai Pan Camp for 3 nights. This camp opened in February 2009 and is the first permanent camp within the Nxai Pan National Park. The camp overlooks a waterhole on the edge of the Nxai Pan, and has nine purpose-built desert tents. Time at Nxai Pan offers an excellent contrast to the Okavango Linyanti areas.

Day 11

Fly back to Maun where you'll connect with the scheduled Air Botswana flight to Johannesburg. From here it's an scheduled overnight flight back to the UK.
