Things to see on this Tanzania map
Tanzania is a vast country – take a look at the scale, bottom-left, to see this at a glance. Notice how close the parks of the 'northern circuit' are: Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire (and Arusha). Their proximity makes guided 4WD safari practical here, when they are not feasible in the parks to the south and the west. (By contrast – see how far Dar is to Selous – and how much further to Ruaha!)
