Elephant Bedroom: video gallery

Elephant Bedroom: picture gallery

Elephant Bedroom is tucked into the riverine forest on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro.
It is named after the animals that frequently pass through this area, looking for food.
The tented rooms are all raised on wooden decks.
All are bright, spacious and have a small plunge pool at the front.
Each has two double beds...
...or one large king-sized bed...
...an outside seating area on the veranda...
...as well as a handy writing desk with helpful additions such as mosquito spray.
Through the back of the tent is the ensuite bathroom, with twin sinks...
... as well as a hot shower and flush toilet.
The main areas consist of outside tables, and a large tented lounge and dining room.
The food is very good here, and breakfast can be a real affair...
... with a real variety on offer.
There is a cosy lounge set on a wooden deck ...
... and a private 'spa tent' for massage and treatments a little behind the east part of camp.
There is also a shop selling a variety of locally made curios.
At the back of the lodge is a viewing platform, and you can even ask to have meals here too!
Overlooking a waterhole this platform is a great place to game view from camp.
Though the animals will often come to you...
... so that you barely need to even leave your room.
Enjoy game drives in the semi-arid desert of Samburu.
