The striking feature of the villas at Azura Mozambique, which are all positioned along the edge of the beach, is their lovely shaggy-fringed thatched roofs. Inside, Azura's rooms are open-plan with the bathrooms at the rear and the bedroom and lounge area nearer to the sea; the beds are positioned so that you can gaze out over your pool to the beach and water beyond.

Each room has a fan and air-conditioning.

The beds are very comfortable and made up with white linen and striped duck-egg blue throws. The intricate wooden head-boards were carved locally, and there are bedside tables, reading lamps and an effective four-poster style mosquito net.

Each room at Azura lodge has a comfortable sofa and armchair, and coffee table as well as a book shelf and desk. The villas are stylishly decorated with local carvings, driftwood and nautical paintings.

Stepping outside through the sliding glass doors onto your verandah, each villa has its own private infinity pool, outside sofa, garden, sunbeds and thatched Tsala. The villas are reasonably close to one another along the beach at Azura, but privacy is maintained by bamboo screens positioned between each.

The villa bathrooms are luxurious and spacious with double sinks, large mirrors, a huge bath (big enough for two), a wet-room-style shower, and separate toilet. There is also another, outside double shower.

Towels, dressing gowns and slippers are provided for your use at Azura, and Molton Brown toiletries are supplied including bath salts, a vanity kit, shower gel, body lotion, soap, shampoo and conditioner. You will find a hair-dryer and 115v/240v shaving socket in each bathroom and insect spray and repellent are also provided.

There are two types of Villa at Azura Mozambique - the Infinity Beach Villa and the Deluxe Beach Villa. Apart from the price, the only real difference between these villas is the size of their pools, and their location (the Deluxe Beach Villas have slightly smaller pools are nearer to the dive centre and bar).
