Benguerra Lodge

 - Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique

Built in the natural vegetation beside a long beach, Benguerra Lodge is a few miles from Marlin Lodge. It has been here since in 1990, and now has 13 comfortable, thatched, en-suite chalets. All feel established and solid, with carefully chosen fabrics and thoughtful touches. The walls are open from about waist height, allowing the breeze to drift though. There's a quiet and reserved atmosphere here - perfect if you require privacy.

Activities include 4WD picnic safaris to find freshwater lakes, sand dunes, grasslands and mangroves, or simply lazing by the small beachside pool. Benguerra has a PADI dive centre and plenty of water sports on offer.
