The chalets at Canon Village are built with stone and cement walls, topped by a thatched roof.

The interior of the chalets are very basic but comfortable; they are not cluttered at all. Each chalet has twin beds next to each other, with a wooden chest at the foot of both beds. This also serves as a luggage rack.

There is a big mosquito net hanging over the beds, a small table and single chair against the wall with a rotating electric fan.

There are twin pedestals with a lamp next to each bed, and a light switch for the main overhead light against the wall above the bed. The only other decoration in the room apart from the two hand-woven Ovambo baskets against the wall near the door, is a hand-painted mural just above the bed.

The windows of the chalets have mesh screens to keep out insects and mosquitoes, whilst letting in the breeze. During the winter months additional blankets are provided for the beds.
Leading off the bedroom is a spacious en-suite bathroom with hot-and-cold shower, wash basin and mirror. A soap dispenser and bath towels are also provided.

There are no electric points in the bathrooms.
