The 20 green canvas tents and two new timber suites at Kirurumu Tented Lodge are located 6km north-east of the tar road, on the edge of the Northern Rift escarpment. The tented accommodation is functional - painted floors, Zanzibari beds, ethnic bed linen, palm mats, a trunk for safe storage and a tiled shower – but the uninterrupted view of Lake Manyara from the bar's terrace is mesmerising. Indigenous trees cover the property and all are appropriately labelled; activities focus on botanical walks with local Masaai guides
