Kwandwe Private Game Reserve

 - Southern Game Parks, The Cape
Read 2 traveller reviews of Kwandwe Private Game Reserve

Kwandwe Private Game Reserve covers 160 km² and is home to all the big five (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and white rhino). Activities include game drives in open 4WD vehicles, night drives and guided walks. The lodge's local historian, Alan Weyer, is an entertaining authority on the frontier battles and rock art of the area. There are three separate lodges here:

In the Great Fish River Lodge there are nine stone-and-thatch Frontier Settler style suites, combining sophisticated luxury without losing the rustic colonial feeling.

The Uplands Homestead (ideal for families), there are three country-house-style rooms with the guests enjoy their own ranger, tracker, chef and open 4x4 safari vehicle.

Kwandwe Ecca Lodge has six modern suites in the über-chic Ecca Lodge. While being Innovative, stylish and intimate, there is little separation between you and the African bushveld.
