In a secluded spot beside the river, Lunga River Lodge has six smart chalets with en-suite showers and toilets. Two of these are honeymoon suites, each with a bath set into a cantilevered private deck. There's also a thatched dining area, a bar with sun-deck over the river, a small pool and even a steam bath.
Activities include day and night game drives and walking trails through the lovely riverine forest surrounding the camp, plus sundown cruises, and boat or canoe trips on the river. This super camp has very experienced guides and is easily reached by light aircraft.
A stay at Lunga River Lodge is usually part of a whole trip which includes time at Busanga Bushcamp, and sometimes one of Lunga's Fly-camps along the Lunga River. Note that because Lunga River Lodge is close to the airstrip, it's usually best to start and end your trip there - taking time out to visit the bushcamp and/or to fly-camp in the middle of your stay.
