Mardouw is a beautifully restored Cape Georgian homestead which has preserved many of its original features but has added a modern contemporary twist to the decor. There is a lot of local artwork and African carvings dotted around the house.
It has five luxurious rooms including two suites all of which have outside access to a veranda with views of the Langeberg Mountains beyond. The rooms are decorated to a high standard each with their own character.
The food at Mardouw is a fantanstic fine-dining experience and can be enjoyed inside or outside taking in the wonderful mountain scenery.
Mardouw is located on a working wine and olive farm and activities here range from golf, on their own driving range, to fishing or birdwatching around one of the dams on the property.
There is also a large infinity swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers, set in lush green gardens.
Located about two hours drive from Cape Town Mardouw makes a relaxing halfway stop between Cape Town and the Garden Route.
