Mbalageti Camp stands on Mwamnevi Hill, about half an hour's drive south of the main track through the Western Corridor. It's a high-quality and large, if quite quirky, camp with 12 very ordinary 'standard' rooms, 24 luxurious tented chalets and two impressive suites.
All the chalets and suites have great views and are made partly of canvas and partly of stone, under a thatched roof. They're furnished with quality furniture and fabrics in neutral shades. Each has an en-suite bathroom including a shower, a claw-foot bath and a flush toilet; feature pieces of wood add character.
The large lounge/dining area has commanding views from its outdoor terrace and swimming pool; it's a very comfortable, spacious place to relax.
