Novotel Kigali Umubano has recently been taken over and is now known as the Laico Umubano Kigali Hotel. It is situated in the embassy district of Kigali, about 5km from the centre of town and is a quite base for any stay in this vibrant city. I last stayed here 3 years ago (and also at Milles Collines) when it was run by Novotel and it has definitely gone down hill since then. It is looking very tired and shabby.
