Nunda Safari Lodge is situated in Namibia's Caprivi Strip. Taking the local Thimbukushu name given to the fruit of the Jackalberry tree, Nunda sits on the banks of the Kavango River, two kilometres downstream from Popa Falls.
None of the Expert Africa team have yet visited Nunda Safari Lodge, but here is what we know about it:
Nunda Safari Lodge has 7 twin bedded en-suite meru tents built on wooden decks, and three spacious thatched en-suite chalets. Each unit is set under a shady canopy of trees and amongst pretty shrubs. Each has a private, covered deck overlooking the river.
The main area at Nunda Safari Lodge is a large thatched lapa with a restaurant, a bar, a curio shop, a comfortable lounge and the reception area. A large wooden deck stretches out in front of this and seating where you can enjoy a sundowner drink and a swimming pool.
Activities from Nunda include guided game drives to Caprivi's Mahangu and Bwabwata National Parks, boat cruises, fishing and trips down the river in traditional canoes.
In conclusion… Nunda Safari Lodge seems like an excellent base to explore the Western Caprivi - in particular Mahango National Park and Popa Falls.
