Standard room-Expert Africa FavouriteOkonjima Main Camp, Central Highlands, Namibia The rooms are constructed out of stone and reed/thatch and are in blocks of two or more rooms. Each of the rooms has a partial stone walled interior and cool tiled floor, and is decorated with wood carvings. In each room there is a single and a double bed; both are made from solid wood, and made up with white linen sheets and African-print scatter cushions. You will also find bedside tables with reading lamps and another table with chairs to sit, relax and read the magazines provided. There is a ceiling fan in each room. There are mosquito nets on the windows. In the rainy season the lodge does have nets that hang over the beds and these can be brought in and put up on request. Each room also has a plug-in insect-repellant vapourisor. The rooms have 3-pin South African-style plug (with round pins), however the lodge can provide adaptors. The en-suite bathrooms in the rooms are fairly small. Each has a wall which is constructed out of rounded stones, and lends some character, although otherwise they're fairly plain and undistinguished. That said, the shower, basin and toilet are all perfectly efficient and functional; there is hot and cold water on tap, and some toiletries are provided - shampoo/shower gel and body lotion.
