Phantom Forest

 - Garden Route, The Cape
Read 1 traveller review of Phantom Forest

For those seeking a hideaway, the Phantom Forest is the answer. Tucked away above Knysna in the natural clearings of the Phantom Forest Nature Reserve, this tiny lodge offers total tranquility. Set within 137 hectares on the Knysna River, ancient trees surround individual chalets where the only noise is birdsong. The lodge is based around and takes inspiration from nature, trying to maintain a harmonious balance through their “eco-restoration” program.

There are two different types of accommodation at Phantom Forest:

The Tree Suites are individual suites with luxury coming as standard. The suites are warm and spacious and have glass-fronted bathrooms so you can bathe while looking out into the forest. However the price varies between their Classic Tree Suites and their Upper Tree Suites

The Moroccan Tree Suites are that little bit extra, combining a north African theme, while complimenting the style of the lodge. The rooms all have large lounge areas and double-ended baths, creating a perfect environment for honeymoons.
