There is one honeymoon suite at Plantation Lodge. It is detached and sits on the border of the garden. There is a small terrace area in the front of the suite, where honeymooner's can enjoy a private breakfast. On entering the suite, there is a small lounge area, with a couple of cushioned, wood chairs and a small fire place. An intricately carved table holds a small lamp and an African wall hanging adds a splash of colour to this small area.

Through an archway is the bedroom. The low double bed is set in the middle of the room. A mattress lies on top of a stone base and heavy white mosquito nets are draped around it, giving a romantic feel to the room. A couple of night lights sit behind the bed and straw mats sit on the cool, tiled floor. A mirror hangs above a dark wood side table. There is a side light, some flowers and a couple of African ornaments to decorate this side of the room.

There is an en-suite bathroom which is set on two levels. On the ground floor level there is a dark wood, free-standing basin and a wooden, towel rail. A couple of bath robes hang on the walls and there is complimentary soap. The floor tiles are a warm pink and the wall tiles are a cool, grey. Sprigs of bright, green ferns stand in brass vases adding a touch of elegance and colour to the room. Taking a step up, there is a modern, power shower, a flush toilet and a large bath. There are large windows which let the light pour in and views into the gardens.

The whole of the honeymoon suite has been decorated simply but elegantly. It makes a calming retreat and because it is set away from the main lodge, it has a feeling of privacy and tranquillity.
