The rooms at Rufiji are permanent tents under thatch, with painted stone flooring throughout. They are simple in style and though they do not boast much in the way of luxury, they are clean and have comfortable beds with cotton sheets, hanging space for your clothes and a writing desk. There are no fans or air conditioning units in the rooms, however they do have gauze covered windows which let through a light breeze. Rooms all have torches, a whistle and insect repellant provided.

Each tent has a stone deck in front, with a table and two chairs which is a pleasant place to relax between safari activities.

The new rooms are significantly more spacious than the old rooms and are all situated along the river side with outdoor decks at the front and two king sized beds. The new tents also have electric plugs, which the old tents do not have.

The en suite bathrooms are situated through a door at the back of the rooms. Like the rooms they are simple yet large and clean, with a shower, bidet, single sink and flush toilet. The camp has running water which is filtered and so safe to drink. Soap, shampoo and towels are all provided.
