Sand Rivers walking mobile

 - Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania

If you love walking in the wilderness with big game, then consider taking a mobile walking safari. These four-night, five-day trips are led by top walking guides to explore the area around Steigler's Gorge, Lake Makubi and Lake Tagalala. Each day is different from the last.

Your mornings and evenings are spent walking, tracking game or sometimes taking a boat trip, whilst you can relax in the shade back at the fly-camp during the middle of the day. Evenings end with three-course meals under the stars, before drinks around the campfire. Taking a maximum of six, the camps are the same as those used for the fly-camps.

These safaris start on any day and last for a minimum of 4 nights; they work best during the dry months, from around June to October.
