Honeymoon suite

Sausage Tree Camp, Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia

All seven of Sausage Tree's tents are spread out along the banks of the Zambezi river under the shade of mahogany and sausage trees, and evenly spaced to provide as much privacy as possible. Five of these are standard tents, whilst the other two are honeymoon suites. Both types are really very similar, and all are very high quality.

Like the camp's standard tents, the two honeymoon tents are open at the front, with great views of the Zambezi, and a comfy couch outside to sit and watch. The tents have canvas sides which can be rolled down at night. Each tent has similar smooth, screeded floors on which is set some beautiful brown teak furniture. There's a dressing table, a chest of drawers, a hanging cupboard for clothes, a writing desk and fairly spectacular four-poster bed surrounded by mosquito netting. The free standing fans here are lovely when the temperature is high!

Beside each bedroom is a private open-air en-suite bathroom. The bathroom floors are also smooth, and the wash-basin toilet have been cleverly 'molded' into walls and shelves. (It looks great – all smooth lines and curves!)

If you enjoy your showers, you'll love the high water pressure of Sausage Tree's hot & cold showers - beside which are complementary toiletries: shampoo, soaps and body lotion. Watch out for the tree frogs at night – which can look like pretty little soaps or ornaments.

Pride of place in each of the honeymoon suites is a large, moulded bathtub – big enough for two to wallow in with space to spare!
