Standard TentSavuti Camp, Kwando-Linyanti area, Botswana These recently constructed rooms are lovely, with canvas walls, wooden floors, high ceilings and beautiful thatched roofs. The thatch almost extends to the floor on one side, as these rooms are designed to keep you warm in the cold and cool in the heat. Each tent has a view over the permanent waterhole, which can be enjoyed either from the large wooden outside decks or from within your room, as the front walls and entrances of the tents are meshed. The king-sized beds are very comfortable and positioned centrally within the rooms, and the floor-to-ceiling headboards separate the bathrooms from the sleeping and living areas. Beds have mosquito nets and there are ceiling fans. For a better idea of how these rooms are decorated, see the slide show on the right side of this page! The bathrooms are large with absolutely huge showers and giant “rain-shower” style shower-heads. There are double sinks with mirrors over and hot and cold water is on tap. Various toiletries are provided including soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Dressing gowns, fluffy towels and flannels are also provided. Note that two of the rooms at Savuti Camp have open-fronted bathrooms with lovely views overlooking the Savuti Channel - the rest of the rooms have bathrooms which are fully enclosed within the tents. One of the seven tents here at Savuti has a 'spare' second tent adjoining to it. Each of these have separate bathrooms, and there's an enclosed corridor joining the two – which ca be used safely at night. This is used as a family room, or can be for four people traveling together. Click here to return to the main page on Savuti Camp ^ Top of page |
