Within the Selinda Reserve's vast area of 1,350km² is a part that's set aside for walking safaris.
Here you'll find the small bush camps of the Selinda walking trail. These walking trails are normally two-or three-nights long. They use tiny, temporary bushcamps that hold a maximum of six guests and usually start, and end, with a night or two at Selinda or Zibalianja. During the walk you'll dine under the trees and sleep in a canvas mini-Meru tent with beds, solar lights and storage space for clothes. The shared bucket showers have a great view, and each private flush toilet is under the stars. After all, this is the wilderness!
These excellent walking safaris are available between March and November. They are led by an expert guide and offer unrivalled opportunities to get closer to the wildlife; they're not forced marches or endurance tests.
It often works best to combine a few nights on this walking trail, with time staying at Selinda Camp, or Zibalianja. Click on the camps' names, on the left-side menu at the top, for more details of these.
