Stanley's Kopje, previously known as Foxes Safari Camp, has recently reopened. Although none of the Expert Africa team has had chance to visit the camp since its reopening, this is what we understand about it from Foxes themselves.
As the name suggests, the camp sits on a rocky kopje and overlooks the Mkata floodplain and the Mwanamboga waterhole. It is a small camp with only 8 tents. Each tent is raised up on a wooden platform and has its own private veranda which takes advantage of the views. In the bedroom area are twin beds with mosquito nets. The en-suite bathroom has a toilet, shower and wash basin with hot water.
The activities the camp offers include game drives, walking safaris and excursions to Udzungwa Mountains National Park.
