The Standard Rooms are similar to the Sea View, though they are slightly smaller and face across a narrow garden rather than out towards the sea. These rooms feel darker than the Sea View rooms, as they sit in a more sheltered part of the hotel, behind the communal areas. Having said that, they are also clean and comfortable and are good value.

The Standard Rooms have tiled floors, white washed walls and are decorated with Zanzibari furniture. Each room has twin or double beds, a table and some chairs, as well as plenty of hanging space for clothes.

Like the Sea View, these rooms also have air-conditioning as well as 24-hour electricity and an en-suite bathroom.

The en-suite bathrooms in the Garden View rooms were all retiled in 2004 and are still relatively new and very clean. Though they are not particularity spacious or stylish they have everything you would need, including a flush toilet, sink and hot-and-cold shower.
