Swartfontein Guest Farm is a good stop between Windhoek and the desert: a tiny farm surrounded by green lawns and pepper trees. It's an oasis in the mountains. Go walking in the early morning, search for mountain zebra, or hike into the surrounding mountains. Run by Roberto and Sylvie, Swartfontein has cool and spacious rooms. The warm welcome and Sylvie's Italian cooking are worth hiking over the mountains for!
