Thamalakane River Lodge- Maun, BotswanaNone of the Expert Africa team have visited this lodge, but the owners sent us the following information about their lodge: Thamalakane River Lodge is situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River, just 19kms from Maun and en route to the famous Moremi Game Reserve. Accommodation 10 individual luxury stone and thatch en suite chalets, nestled in the shade of the riverine trees. The chalet interiors have a feature stone wall with an en-suite bathroom consisting of a shower, hand-basin and toilet. Rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans and mosquito nets. Each chalet has a private patio with a river view. Dining The restaurant is a thatch and wood structure with views of the Thamalakane River offering superb sunsets over the River. It offers a formal dining area where ala carte meals are served. With a less formal seating area to the side to enjoy a drink with a view. Full English breakfasts are included in the rates. Thamalakane Restaurant has a good wine list and a superb menu. It is fast being recognized as the best dining experience in Maun. Pool The pool overlooks the river and has inviting hammocks hanging under a character gazebo with loungers positioned around the pool. Camping The generous camping area has electrified sites and a modern ablution building.
