Twyfelfontein Country Lodge is large but good value. It's a comfortable spot for a night or two, and the energetic will find marked hiking trails up adjacent hills. Its 56 stone-and-thatch rooms all have ensuite facilities, plus there's a sizeable pool, an open-air dining room, a cosy lounge and a bar.
Wildlife safaris: The Private reserves are in place to help protect many animals such as the rare desert-adapted elephant, black rhino and many other wildlife.
