The open-plan rooms are vast, have high ceilings and are decked out in light wood which gives them a slight swiss-chalet feel. The huge beds are very comfortable and the headboards contain switches so that you can turn off the lights once you are safely ensconced under the giant mosquito net. There is ample storage, a writing desk, and a sunken lounge with comfortable L-shaped sofa.

There are double sinks with mirrors above, a full length mirror and the indoor shower is enormous and open to the rest of the room. It is however surrounded on four sides by curtains which can be drawn when in use. There is also a large outside shower which is uncovered and offers views to the plains. There is hot and cold water and various toiletries are supplied including shampoo, shower gel, soap, body cream, sunscreen, cotton wool, and a sewing kit. There is a flushing toilet which is enclosed in a separate room in the corner of the main accommodation.

All the rooms have safes and you are also provided with dressing gowns, mosquito repellent, bug spray and mosquito coils which are lit nightly by the staff. There is also a water cooler and full tea and coffee making facilities are provided.

The huge gauze windows afford commanding views, and verandahs stretch the length of the chalets. Each room also has a very large private decked area complete with private plunge pool, sunbeds, and “sala” which houses a comfy sofa and table. Shade is also provided by ebony trees.
