Chelinda Lodge
For many years we've worked closely with David and Robyn Foot, who ran the comfortable ,Chelinda Lodge. However a very unfortunate series of government actions at the end of 2007 led to the this lodge closing. However in July 2010, after a major refurbishment it has reopened. Standing on the edge of pine forest, with panoramic views over the plateau, the lodge is built entirely out of timber and stone collected from the plateau. It has a cosy central lounge/bar, a curio shop and a dining room with a large outdoor deck for warmer days. Connected to the central area by wooden walkways, each of the eight double-storey log cabins has an open plan lounge and bedroom, with double bed, a private veranda and en-suite facilities - including a separate bath and shower.

Chelinda Lodge has panoramic views over the Nyika Plateau.

We have always believed that acting responsibly is the only way to approach tourism and we're one of
the few companies to hold AITO's original coveted 5-star status for responsible tourism. It's a lead
that others are now following.
