Chintheche Inn is situated on the northern shore of Lake Malawi
Standard Room
The rooms at Chintheche are a good size, and very light due to the large French windows which open out to a small private verandah facing the lake.Central in the room is a very comfortable double bed (or twins) complete with mosquito net. There is a small wooden sofa with cushions and a chair on the far side of the bed, and two carved wooden bedside tables with lamps.
A long luggage rack is sturdy enough to support even the heaviest suitcase and a desk alongside this has coffee and tea making facilities, a flask of water and glasses and information about the lodge and the surrounding area. There is a large wardrobe by the back door.
Some of the rooms have adjoining doors – and hence easily convert for a family to use.
The bathrooms at Chintheche Inn are at the back of the room – fully en suite and private – and decorated with very bright, African colours.
The showers are hot and powerful and plenty of towels are provided – a separate basin, flush toilet and various shelves complete the room. Soap, shampoo and body lotion are provided.

We have always believed that acting responsibly is the only way to approach tourism and we're one of
the few companies to hold AITO's original coveted 5-star status for responsible tourism. It's a lead
that others are now following.
