Domwe Island
Nestled in dense bush, beside a small beach on the island's western shore, Kayak Africa's Domwe Island has five large tents and offers a waterside, safari-style experience. It can be reached either by kayak (two or three hours' paddle to Mumbo), or a slow 45 minutes by motorboat from the base camp at Cape Maclear. Each room has its own shady deck and hammock; a tranquil spot for relaxing and watching shy forest birds. There are the same activities here as those possible on it's sister-island, Mumbo Island , although Domwe Islands's marked trails are much longer.
Domwe Island: Traveller ratings
