This safari includes two of Robin Pope Safaris Malawi properties where you spend 4 nights in the remote Majete Wildlife Reserve, followed by 5 nights on The Lakeshore.
Day 1
Depart London Heathrow on your scheduled overnight flight with South African Airways to Blantyre Airport, via Johannesburg.Day 2
1 night at Mkulumadzi Lodge (full board & activities) | Majete Wildlife Reserve, Malawi
On arrival at Blantyre Airport you will be met and transferred by road to the Majete Wilderness Reserve located in southern Malawi. Here you spend 4 nights at Mkulumadzi. Opened in July 2011 Mkulumadzi is a smart camp with eight chalets and has views out over the Shire River below.Days 3-5
3 nights at Mkulumadzi Lodge (full board & activities) | Majete Wildlife Reserve, Malawi
After a leisurely breakfast you'll be taken out to explore Majete possibly seeing nyala, bushbuck, zebra, kudu, waterbuck, eland, warthog and impala. There are also elephant, buffalo and evidence of black rhino. Leopard have recently been introduced and lion are due to be introduced in 2012.Day 6
1 night at Pumulani (full board & activities) | Shore of Lake Malawi, Malawi
After breakfast you will be driven by road to the southern shore of Lake Malawi, a journey of roughly four hours, where you will be staying at Pumulani. This luxurious beach lodge is located on a hillside within the Lake Malawi National Park and has stunning views over the lakeDays 7-10
4 nights at Pumulani (full board & activities) | Shore of Lake Malawi, Malawi
Your time here can be spent relaxing by the pool or on the private beach below the lodge. For the more adventurous activities here include snorkelling, kayaking, waterskiing, sailing, fishing and scuba diving. Village walks and birdwatching, accompanied by a guide, are also possible.Day 11
Today you are flown by air to Lilongwe airport to connect with your overnight South African Airways flight to London via Johannesburg.Day 12
