This map shows the central area of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, in Namibia. The main national park area is coloured orange. Much of this is duneveld, although the section that extends to the east represents the rugged Naukluft Mountains. The neighbouring Namib-Rand Nature Reserve is marked in green.
In the middle of the map, on the extreme western side, ‘Sossusvlei’ and ‘dune 45’ are marked with a label and a line, within the main dune-field.
