On arrival from your own arrangements you will be transferred from Lilongwe by scheduled flight to Likoma Island, followed by a boat transfer across to the Mozambican side of Lake Malawi, where you will stay 3 nights at Nkwichi Lodge. Located in the Manda Wilderness Reserve, Nkwichi has six large, spacious thatched chalets tucked away in the trees overlooking the lake. Activities here include snorkeling, kayaking, birdwatching, walking and visits to nearby villages. The beach here is the finest and whitest on the lakeshore and is a good spot to relax.
Today you will be transferred by boat back across the lake to Likoma Island. Here you will spend the next 4 nights at Kaya Mawa. Located on the southern tip of the island this relaxing lodge has 11 stone and thatch chalets, some perched on the rocks and others are located on the beach. Likoma Island has some of the best freshwater snorkeling and diving in the world and Kaya Mawa has a well equipped dive centre. For the more active its possible to go snorkeling, diving, sailing, water skiing, boating - or you could just relax on the veranda in front of your chalet or on the beach.
After breakfast you will be transferred by scheduled flight back to Lilongwe for your own onward arrangements.
