Good place under canvas

We had a chance to relax here and took only one game drive, but it was excellent value for money being a lengthy and very rewarding drive with a great guide.

Good atmosphere in the evenings around the communal dining table. Good gift shop too.

Ndhovu Safari Lodge review

Johann and Monica are enthusiastic hosts in Ndhovu with Johann clearly passionate about what he does and can offer. tents are bit on basic side and could be updated, bathrooms could be more private.

it was particularly cold while we were there and electric blankets would have been a welcome addition.

Ndhovu Safari Lodge

Great place to stay. Very pleasant people. Had long and interesting discussions with the manager, who took the time telling us about life in Namibia and Botswana, the people and the animals. We felt very welcome.

We could just take some rods and fish from the deck of one of the boats. Hippos were very close to the lodge, very loud during the night. Beautiful sight from the deck. Very comfortable tents.

Ndhovu Safari Lodge review

The location of the Ndhovu Safari Lodge is great. We woke up in the morning and in front of our tent, we had hippos swimming in the river. We took our breakfast on the terrace at the edge of the river, with the sun rising slowly and the hippos still swimming. What a beautiful morning! The tasteful three course dinner was served on a long table where the owner sat and ate with the guests. It was a good opportunity to learn about the region.
We booked an evening river cruise with them and the local guide was good at finding animals and giving some explanations.
After I paid the bill, I unfortunately forgot my credit card there. The management succeeded in contacting us in our next lodge 200 Km from there and organized my card to be forwarded. That's service!

Nunda Lodge

This was a last minute booking as the lodge we were originally booked into was flooded but we were made to feel very welcome.

The bungalow was lovely witha pretty private garden and overlooking the river. Food was excellent and the owners were welcoming and helpful.

Ndhovu Safari Lodge review

The journey to get here was very exciting, through deep water trying to find the roadway.

The rooms are fine but the open passage between the tent room and the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired and the bathroom ceiling leaks. The public lapa for dining is very, very dark with insufficient lighting. It also needs a throughly good clean.

However, Werner Schulz, who was standing in for Horst the owner, was great and we enjoyed our boat trip with him and his father, very relaxing and interesting talking to them. We also went on a game drive with them through the park which was very good.

Peaceful and a beautiful location.

This is the place to stay if you want close views of the Okavango River. It was around 40 C in the Bush but the Lodge is situated close to the River and in riverine forest so it was always comfortable around the Lodge.

We had 3 nights here and did not want to leave.

Ndhovu Safari Lodge review

Beautiful location on the river from where you can see hippos, crocodiles and sometimes elephants. The bed was very comfortable but the bathroom is fairly basic.

Johan and Monica provided a warm welcome and we enjoyed the boat excursion with Martin where we saw many unusual birds as well as hippos, crocs and water monitors.
