"Our Oct 2015 was our best yet to africa"
the main disappointments were that there was less game than expected, especially at Linyanti, and less water than expected in Okavango.

"Mega holiday.......again!"

OK since Peter is writing the review he would comment about the quotation! Not the cheapest of holidays however worth every penny and Expert Africa ensured that our money bought what Pamela wanted.
Peter was surprised and more than pleased that so much of this holiday was just a few guests.........or even just the two of us.
I think Expert Africa spoilt us and the next time we go on Safari will expect a vehicle and guide to ourselves. The one day we had to go on safari on a full vehicle neither of us enjoyed the experience half as much as our other drives. Getting old perhaps but we like to stop and watch ants or ducks parading.
Perhaps a highlight was walking in Mundulea and coming across a baby hog that was dying due to a Leopard bite. Cai's comment that he could smell a Leopard and that perhaps we should move on reminds me I must go.

"My Sep 2015 trip"
I asked Tracy to upgrade our car from a group C to a group K shortly before we traveled, based on my own research, and friends' comments. I'm very glad I did, because we drove over 3000km, and a standard saloon would have been too small, our luggage would not all have fitted in the boot, and it would have required extremely careful driving on some of the gravel roads. I think it should have been suggested to us in the first place, given the amount of time we spent in the car. (In fact we were supplied with a Nissan X-trail 2/4WD, which I think is a group O car).
We were a little concerned that staying for one night in 3 lodges in a row (around the Etosha area) would be difficult, with no time to rest, but in fact it suited us. We found it reassuring to have the knowledge and expertise of Expert Africa's staff behind us, to guide us through a part of the world of which we had little previous experience. The choice of lodges was perfect, and every arrangement that had been made for us went without a hitch. We were particularly grateful for the huge contributions made by Maruska, in the initial planning of the trip, and Tracy, who took over when we were forced to postpone our trip by 12 months, following a family bereavement.

Sabina is worthy of particular mention, as she really knew Namibia well and so was able to give accurate and re-assuring advice. She was always courteous and nothing was too much trouble. Expert Africa give superb attention to detail and provide lots of useful information before the trip, which ensures the trip goes smoothly. Any issues, which were limited during or after the trip were dealt with very quickly and efficiently.
I would recommend Expert Africa without reservation.

"I Loved My Trip to Africa"
We saw 3 of the "Big 5" which was a little disappointing but I guess that just gives us an excuse to come back to see the rhino and leopards. There was also quite a bit of overlap between the game activities offered by the Zambezi Queen and the Muchenje camp.
I was very happy with my trip.
