"Probably the most enjoyable place we stayed, and not to be missed. Easily reached from the tarred road, and unique environment.
Very friendly, and beautiful setting. Very nice food.

The eagle walk (one and a half hours) was outstanding.

Couldn't ask for more." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia; 2n in Zimbabwe; 1n in South Africa

"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 14 Jun 2012
"Erongo was a wonderful place to spend our last two nights in Namibia. The tents are large with shaded and open terraces and the outdoor bathrooms added a wild touch to the accommodation. The central area is stunning - amazing views over the mountains and waterhole and the company of tens of rock dassies, lizards and lovebirds.

The managers (who were the relief managers) were enthusiastic, taking the time to speak to everyone over dinner, sharing their knowledge of the area and even giving us an ad hoc stargazing lesson.

Gelassius (sp?) took us on our sunrise and sunset guided walks and was a wonderful guide - we really appreciated his knowledge and humour. We also did one of the self guided walks at sunrise - well marked and with beautiful views.

Erongo served the best food we had in Namibia - fresh, plentiful and delicious." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 7 Jun 2012
"In some respects. this was the highlight of the trip. The setting is unbelievable; and the views from our room were quite simply spectacular. (We argue about whether Erongo or Doro Nawas gave the best 'view from the bed'.)

We were very warmly welcomed with fruit juice and the couple who manage it couldn't have been more friendly and accomodating. They were happy for us to hang around for several hours after we had checked out

Although this was not the only tented accommodation, it gave the best feel of communing with nature - especially with the baboons barking not too far away.

We had a brilliant guide (Johnny) for our sundowner and early morning walks - very informative and very sensitive to our capabilities." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Lots of birds at Erongo"

2 nights Arrived 7 Dec 2011
"Our stay was a little difficult because the camp was in the process of being upgraded. The tent/rooms were being rebuilt and work started early each morning and continued throughout the day. The sound of the power tools echoed around the hills.

Some of the staff in the restaurant were excellent whilst others left a lot to be desired, we felt that we were inconveniencing them by asking for the menus etc. The walk to the cave paintings is very difficult if you have any problems with mobility." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 25 Nov 2011
"Sadly we only stayed on night at Erongo.

Great setting amongst the hills and kopjies of the Erongo Conservancy. Particularly liked the wooden walkways connecting the tents and the rest of the camp. Although we were only there briefly, we did take advantage of a couple of walks. The morning walk was excellent. A really knowledgable and enthusiastic guide, perfect pace and just right to set us up for a nice breakfast! It would be a shame not to take advantege of the walks around the lodge.

We had a nice evening meal, and the staff and managers were very friendly and helpful." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"A tent at last"

2 nights Arrived 12 Nov 2011
"Had been expecting tents at other locations and at last we were in one - but a luxury tent will all mod cons.

Kept awake when the wind was howling and the sides blowing so glad it was only for 2 nights." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia
