Good overnight stop
We stayed two nights as we wanted to spend a day at Tsumeb and the Hoba meteorite. The rooms were large and clean and the gardens were lovely and well kept. The meals were good and the breakfast was excellent.
Staff friendly. But the whole lodge was just a little tired.
We met the new owner who is working hard to bring it uo tp standard and plans to build sound "barrier" to cut the noise of traffic. He has just rebuilt Uris lodge and would like to bring Khorab to a similar standard.

Regarding the Lodge at Otavi (1 night).
No air conditioning and it is too near the road. Very noisy until about 11 at night and also a lot of mosquitoes so could not open any windows (no mesh).

We really liked this stopover, the garden area is particularly attractive but there is some traffic noise due to its proximinity to the main road.
We had our best evening meal here ,excellent cooking, recommended.
Our visit was only spoilt by a very noisy group of locals using the pool area in the afternoon.
Comfotable overnight stay featuring blesbok.
The lodge and dining area were nicely done. The garden was lush and beautifully maintained. The room was quite comfortable.
We enjoyed walking the surrounding land which contained a herd of blesbok. Jackson provided excellent service at table and the hosts were friendly and gracious.
It is a good stopping spot, not really a destination. Only downside was road noise.

We stayed overnight but would not stay again. After the quality of the other lodges the rooms were rather basic . not air con and mozzie net had seen better days!
The staff were lovely and helpful and the food was very good. Had lunch and dinner and would recommend it as a place to eat on the way to somewhere else.

As a stopover on the way to Bushmanland, this was ok. The rooms were fine, the gardens pleasant and relaxing, the food excellent, the only down side was the noise from the road, which kept us awake at nght, with lorries driving past on the adjacent B1, most of the night.
There was certainly nothing there to keep you for more than 1 night stopover.

Best thing about this place is the garden.
We went for a walk on the marked trail and got lost!! as the marked trail suddenly disappears. You cannot get far though as the lodge is completely fenced in. Not very good for birds or animals.
I would only use this as a stopover. The road noise is a real problem as it seems to be busy (as Namibia ever gets) all night.
Useful stopover, and convenient location.
At the time of checking in there was a conference on and we were rather left to our own devices.
It is a suitalbe place for a stop over but nothing more.
Food was good.
Worn but welcoming!
The German owners have only been there 6 months, and the wife is trying gamely to run the place while her husband works in South Africa.
The service was friendly and accomodating and the food good. All the facilities are worn, especially the beds (huge troughs in the mattresses,) bedding and linens. It is generally fairly clean but needs upgrading, refreshing badly.
The ponds are full of hundreds of frogs, which croak loudly until the last light is turned out! This didn't bother me but my grandaughter couldn't get to sleep. We would stay there again in transit as the location is very convenient.
