Mushara Bush Camp review

Very friendly welcome. Superb food, really 5* for content and presentation. Waitresses were elegant and charming and loved to laugh. Outside fire-pit with circle of chairs, great for sundowners.

The chalets are quite a walk down flat gravel paths, so let the trolley porter take your heavy bags & be ready with a tip!

Well appointed tented chalets, spotlessly clean as ever.

Relaxed and friendly

We were greeted by Linda with a cold drink and a friendly smile, which set the tone for our stay. The stone, wood and canvas "tents" at Mushara are scattered in the bush, connected by gravel pathways (luggage is taken by trolley so hasn't got to be lugged by you) to the main lodge with its restaurant, bar, comfy chairs, wood fire, curio shop and internet access (for a modest charge).

The tents are comfortable and well appointed with a verandah on which to relax and watch the passing warthogs and impala.

A beating drum indicates that the 3-course set dinner is ready to be served - in our case spinach and feta cheese in filo pastry follwed by eland steak and crepe suzette with ice cream. Quite delicious. During dinner the camp staff had rolled down the canvas sides of the tent and put welcome hot water bottles in the bed.

We only stayed one night after we left Etosha, but were impressed by the relaxed and friendly atmosphere at the camp.

Mushara Bush Camp review

A really well designed camp, in a good position for seeing Etosha, but the staff were truly abysmal. You really do not want to read how bad they were, but in years of travelling I seldom encounter such indifference from the whole staff.

The main building is really outstanding with attention to detail. For example even the toilets are worthy of seeing for their design

Bush Camp was lovely and genuine

This was our first camp and we were very impressed. Lovely friendly staff, great accommodation and food.

This is an ideal place to stay just outside Etosha.

Mushara Bush Camp review

The staff at Mushara Bush Camp were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to welcome us and talk to the children about their days activities. Victoria was exceptionally nice.

Our children loved the pool and unique playground.

Bringing outside inside

Another lovely place to stay. The tents are a stroke of genius! One of the best thought out places we stayed in.

Lovely location, we really felt we were at one with the wildlife seeing hartebeests and a warthog around the camp.

We loved that everything was so open and blended into the surroundings
