Quivertree Forest Restcamp: Our full report

Quivertree Forest Rest Camp is situated about 13km from Keetmanshoop on the privately owned farm Gariganus. Here visitors can explore the ancient Quivertree Forest – a dense stand of tree-aloes and the rock formations of the Giant's playground.

Quivertree Forest Rest Camp offers a variety of accommodation which is all basic but adequate. There are 2 separate houses and each has two en-suite rooms with single and double beds, a lounge and mini bar. One of the houses has a fully equipped kitchen. There is also 1 en-suite family room.

In addition to the houses and family room, there are 8 self-catering igloo style bungalows. Each of the bungalows has a fully equipped kitchen, mini bar, en-suite bathroom and furnished with double and single beds. The igloos sleep two to three people so can be used for families.

Quivertree Forest Rest Camp also has a campsite with bar-b-que and ablution facilities and electricity.

The main building at Quivertree Forest Rest Camp comprises of a restaurant and bar and outside there is a swimming pool and bar-b-que area.

There are a variety of domestic and tamed wild animals at Quivertree Forest Rest Camp and visitors have a chance to interact with these. Probably the most popular activity on offer is the feeding of the cheetah, which is kept in a holding area behind the farm building. Quivertree Forest Rest Camp is also a good base from where you can visit the Quivertree Forest which is situated on the property.
