Weltevrede Restcamp: Our full report
Weltevrede Guest Farm offers simple yet comfortable accommodation between Sesriem and Solitaire.
Weltevrede has 12 has motel style rooms, all with porches offering sunset views and the chance to spot the springbok that sometimes wander by. Family rooms have a large carved double and a single bed, a wooden wardrobe, a carved table, and ethnic patterns on the curtains and beds. The rooms are brightened up by plastic flowers. The rooms all have en-suite bathrooms with glass shower units.
The communal areas of the guest farm consist of a thatched dining area accessed by a bridge over the pond, a self-service honesty bar and a rather dirty swimming pool. In reception there is a small curio shop which sells postcards and some souvenirs. The farm offers private parking.
There are plans to extend the bar to allow for dinner to be eaten outside by the fire.
The farm also has some shaded camping sites with their own toilets and showers.
Activities offered from Weltevrede Guest Farm include a Sossusvlei sunset drive, and there are plans to add in a marked walking trail.
