This ten day fly-in itinerary combines three great Namibian highlights: the spectacular apricot coloured sand dunes at Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert, captivating game viewing in Etosha National Park, and close encounters with predators at Okonjima - the AfriCat Foundation.
Day 1
Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled South African Airways flight will take you via Johannesburg to Windhoek, where you land the following day.Days 2-3
2 nights at Kulala Desert Lodge (full board & activities) | Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia
You are met on arrival at Windhoek Airport before boarding your light aircraft flight to the Namib Desert. Discover the breathtaking scenery of the Namib-Naukluft Park, with its towering sand dunes and expansive desert plains. You'll explore the private Kulala Reserve on 4WD excursions and guided walks, rise early for a magical morning amongst the gigantic apricot dunes at Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, and venture into the cool depths of Sesriem Canyon. Even the view is spectacular from the comfort of Kulala Desert Lodge.Days 4-6
3 nights at Ongava Lodge (full board & activities) | Etosha National Park, Namibia
Fly north over Namibia's vast countryside to Etosha National Park and let the game viewing begin! You'll stay three nights on the private Ongava Game Reserve, situated on the southern boundary of Etosha. Activities include 4WD excursions into Etosha and within the Ongava Reserve, led by the lodge's experienced wildlife guides. There's also a great outlook over a popular waterhole from your base at Ongava Lodge.Days 7-8
2 nights at Okonjima Bush Camp (full board & activities) | Central Highlands, Namibia
It's less than an hour's flight south over the rolling Central Highlands to reach your next destination at the base of the Omboroko Mountains. Here you'll gain an insight into the dedicated work of the AfriCat Foundation and have the opportunity to see some of Namibia's magnificent predators up close. The foundation focuses mainly on the conservation and research of leopard and cheetah. You can track leopard by vehicle, cheetah and spotted hyena on foot, visit the education centre and see nocturnal wildlife from a night hide. In between activities there's time to relax and enjoy the hospitality at Okonjima Bush Camp.Day 9
A short hop by light aircraft takes you back to Windhoek Airport, arriving in time to check-in for your international flight back to the UK, via Johannesburg.Day 10
