Spend 13 nights in country exploring the sights of Northern Namibia with an accent on walking, wildlife and the San Bushman culture. Day 1
Starting from London, your scheduled South African Airways economy flight will take you, via Johannesburg, to Windhoek where you land the following day.Day 2
1 night at Olive Grove (bed & breakfast) | Windhoek, Namibia
Pick up your rental car on arrival at Windhoek Airport and drive the 45 minutes into Windhoek city for an overnight stay. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city centre or relaxing at the guesthouse. This evening you can choose to dine out at one of Windhoek's popular restaurants or stay in and have dinner at the lovely Olive Grove.Day 3
1 night at Erongo Wilderness Lodge (half board) | Central Highlands, Namibia
Drive across scenic farmland as you head north-west through Namibia's Central Highlands. Your destination is the spectacular Erongo Mountains where you spend a night nestled amongst striking granite boulders that surround the massif. Explore your surroundings on a sundowner and morning guided walk, with the option to add an afternoon nature drive if appeals, during your stay at Erongo Wilderness Lodge. Guided walks are included in your stay here.Days 4-5
2 nights at Doro Nawas (half board) | Damaraland, Namibia
Continue north into the heart of Damaraland and discover the extensive open-air rock art gallery strewn over the hillside at Twyfelfontein. It's easy to navigate your own way around the area to also visit the geological sites of Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes. In addition, you may like to join a guided 4WD excursion along the ephemeral riverbed to search for game, including desert adapted elephant if they are in the area – just one of the optional guided activities available during your stay in the beautiful rugged hills at Doro Nawas.Days 6-7
2 nights at Okaukuejo Camp (bed & breakfast) | Etosha National Park, Namibia
Set off after breakfast for the drive up to Etosha National Park where you'll spend your days seeking out the abundant wildlife found here. Take your time driving around the park, stopping along the way at game sightings, waterholes and to view the silvery expanse of Etosha Pan. These two nights afford further game viewing beside the excellent floodlit waterhole at Okaukuejo Camp.Days 8-9
2 nights at Onguma Etosha Aoba (half board) | Etosha National Park, Namibia
Game drive across to the eastern boundary of Etosha where you'll stay two nights to explore this side of the park. You may like to join an optional guided game drive offered by the lodge so you can learn more about the area and take a break from driving yourselves. Stay at the comfortable…..Days 10-12
3 nights at Nhoma Camp (full board & activities) | Bushmanland, Namibia
The long journey today takes you into north-east Namibia to the edge of the Kalahari Desert where you'll spend three nights in Bushmanland. Your encounter with the Bushman people can be an exceptional experience; for those who really get involved – it can be life-changing. During your time here you'll take part in the authentic daily activities of the San and gain a valuable insight into their culture, whilst staying at the remote Nhoma Camp.Day 13
1 night at Ghaub Guest Farm (bed & breakfast) | Central Highlands, Namibia
Depart Bushmanland and head back into the Central Highlands for an overnight stay in the rugged farming region of the Otavi Triangle. The land here is rich in minerals and amongst the most fertile in the country; with attractive scenery and vegetation. Get a feel for Namibia's farming lifestyle at the delightfully rural Ghaub Guest Farm.Day 14
1 night at Olive Grove (bed & breakfast) | Windhoek, Namibia
It's a relatively easy drive back to Namibia's capital of Windhoek today. You may like to explore the city on a guided tour or amble around the shops at your leisure, relax at a pavement café, bargain with street-vendors for curios, or just laze by the pool at Olive Grove.Day 15
There may be time to enjoy a leisurely morning before you return to Windhoek Airport and drop off your hired vehicle in good time to check-in for your scheduled overnight flight back to the UK with South African Airways.Day 16
Arrive back in London Heathrow this morning and return home or connect onto an onward flight as required.
