Nice Place

As before [Ed: see their earlier review, below] it was a very good place to stay before leaving Windhoek.

We were able to eat at Joes Beergarden which was a short safe walk from the guesthouse. This is worth a visit and an institution ! You need a large appetite !

Excellent Value

We were surprised by this accommodation as it was classed as budget but we found it really good. Clean, compact with good facilities and an excellent WiFi connection. Certainly very good for a quick one night stay at the end or beginning of a trip.

Breakfast was basic but quite adequate and the staff were very helpful all the time. We had a slight problem with contacting Budget for our car and the receptionist there was very helpful and did this for us .Well done Elegant Guesthouse.

Elegant Guesthouse just ok

I wasn't blown away by this place. Rooms were small, pool was dirty, safe didn't work.

The hostess was present when we arrived - but was there in the morning - lovely, wonderful helpful lady - who fixed everything sharpish. Would not stay here again

Expert Africa comments

We are sorry that this guesthouse did not suit this traveller. However we were pleased to read that the lady on duty the day after arrival was incredibly helpful in sorting out any issues this traveller had. In hindsight perhaps we should have suggested a larger hotel with a more central location.

Elegant Guesthouse review

Did I throw out directions to location? Had a bit of trouble finding it.

Airport Lodge between Windhoek and airport would be more appropriate option for early flights.

Comfortable and Convenient

This was our second stay here after a gap of three years. It is an ideal place to begin or end your tour of this stunning country.

Very easy to find in Klein Windhoek, one of best areas of this very small capital city. Most guests stay only one night but this time we stayed for two as we wanted to do a tour of the city (not really much to see in all honesty - the highlight was a visit to the township of Katatura and it's market with a guide). Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are efficient and friendly. Breakfast is adequate. Secure parking. Only a couple of minutes drive to the famous Joe's Beerhouse restaurant. Free wi-fi in the public area. This guesthouse has a lot going for it and is recommended.

Stay in Windhoek for the last night.

We spent our last night in the guest house so that we wouldn't have to rush to the airport form Okonjima.
We had stayed there on our first night and it was nice to see the same staff again.
One of the men made a good job of cleaning the car for us.
