Lovely location River Crossing

Great location, 15mins from town, and 20 from airport. Beautiful views.
We like River Crossing but it had a feel of needing a bit more management. Various things didn't work in the room, and nobody could manage the lock on our door even though they all knew it was dodgy.
The pool wasn't cleaned even though it is central to bar and patio and so everybody sits round it .
Confusion about whether we were on full board. They thought we were but because our voucher said B & B we had already booked to go out.
The dining room was nice, breakfast good. The second dining room which contains the reception sofa needs more thought. Very cold and dismal. A couple had to dine in there on their own and they were really miserable.

Pleasant enough for first night in Namibia

Welcome was good we were offered a juice drink straighaway. Very refreshing after the long journey from England!

Food of good standard and room spacious and comfortable. Did hear that this was part of a group and other Lodges in the group had been sold off. Would imagine River Crossing could be on the market as well.

Fine for last night stay

Convenient for the city and a lovely quiet location, but the place needs to be more professional in its service and general offering.

River Crossing review

Good spot for a stop-over on way in or out of Windhoek. Convenient to airport and we were happy to be there rather than in Windhoek. Neat to be out in the bush but near civilization.

The one surprising thing is that the website and marketing material suggest that there are activities and self-guided walks, but the attendant at the front desk gave a simple "No" when we asked if there were any activities that we could do.

River Crossing review

Beautiful views. Lovely location for the hotel and especially - due to it's proximity to the ariport it was perfect for us to catch the 6:30am flight.

Would recommend that as the best accommodation for the last night in Windhoek.

River Crossing

Perfect for our final stop although I imagine some people might want to be actually in Windhoek to do some shopping at the last minute.

(We were lucky and were able to stop at Okahanja, but shopping wasn't on our list of priorities)

River Crossing review

great location, good accommodation and food (no choice at dinner) management did not show any interest in guests and no suggestions offered as to what to do on property. Waiting staff were pleasant at all times

Peace and quiet near to Windhoek and airport

Disabled persons review: There were a number of steps both to reception/dining room and our cabin which made it a little awkward unless we asked for help.

We only stayed one night on our way to the airport early next morning but this lodge is worth a longer stay.

Very welcoming and friendly staff who were on hand to help us when we left at 5.30am.

Good room with private patio and views of the Khomas hills.

good one night stop before flight

The lodge is good with a beautiful view of Windhoek in the distance, off the rooms and the sun deck.

A good place to stay for a night before flights.
