Selous Game Reserve: A safari above all others, by Harriet O'BrienThe Independent – 29 January 2011 Harriet O'Brien writes for many top publications. She visited the Selous with Expert Africa in order to seek out the giraffe which are famously numerous in this area. This detailed and beautifully written article gives a great sense of the park, and type of experience that's possible there. On this trip, she stayed at Lake Manze Camp, Impala Fly-camp and Sand Rivers. The 10 best safaris in Africa, by Graham Boynton, Lucia van der Poste, Lisa Grainger, Brain Jackman & Chris McIntyreThe Telegraph – 13 Aug 2010 For this 'Top 10' piece, the Telegraph's Zimbabwean-born travel editor, Graham Boynton, asked five Old Africa hands to shortlist their top safaris. Expert Africa's own Chris McIntyre was honoured to be included in what was a 'roll call' of the UK's most experienced writers on travel in Africa. Chris wrote about Mundulea, in Namibia, and a trip to the Gorillas in Rwanda. Rhino-spotting on a fly-drive safari, by Gill CharltonThe Telegraph – 27 July 2010 Gill's a very experienced travel journalist, but she's never driven around Namibia before. Here she explores the country with a friend and paints a very engaging picture of the trip, including a rare leopard sighting at Erongo Wilderness, rhino-tracking at Desert Rhino Camp and a fascinating stay at Mundulea. Girls gone wild in Namibia, by Gill CharltonThe National (of UAE)– 27 Nov 2009 Here's a different piece about the same trip – which also makes fascinating reading. A Zambian safari in the sky, by Matt CarrollThe Guardian – 9 Aug 2009 We now realise that Matt isn't that keen on the previous safaris that he's done – but then he's never travelled with Expert Africa before! In this one, he concentrated his short piece on a microlight safari, based out of Tafika, in Zambia's South Luangwa Park. The online version comes with a short video about the flights, although you have to watch an advert first before the microlight video plays! Madonna fans - click this way … Rwanda: The hairy 31-stone beast of a bloke my wife fell in love with, by Jeremy ThompsonThe Daily Mail – 22 March 2009 Jeremy Thompson is Sky News's Africa Correspondent, and this was a special trip for his wife's 50th birthday. They visited the Gorillas in Rwanda, seeing how the country continues to move of from the troubles of its past; then flew to Tanzania, to visit the Serengeti under Canvas camp, and the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Quite a trip, and Jeremy's account includes some interesting insights, as you'd expect. Zimbabwe: A beautiful land in need of a change of fortune, by Jeremy LauranceThe Independent – 28 February 2009 It is over ten years since the travel section of The Independent carried any feature on Zimbabwe. To change this, we arranged a trip for Jeremy Lawrence, so he could see for himself what was happening.
