Our trips to Africa

We offer trips only trips and safaris to selected Africa; all are places that we know exceedingly well. When you contact us, you speak to an expert who spends at least a month every year visiting these places in Africa.

So browse the site, and add places that you like to your wish list. Then call us to discuss them. We'll combine our knowledge of Africa with your wishes, to plan a perfect trip for you – and send you a detailed, fully-costed itinerary to consider.

Botswana

Botswana offers some of Africa's most exclusive big game safaris – with stylish camps, wonderful wildlife and excellent guides. You'll hop around by light aircraft, and perhaps drop in to the Victoria Falls at the start or end of your trip.

Malawi

Malawi's a quiet, friendly country featuring one of Africa's great lakes. Old Africa hands will enjoy exploring, relaxing beside the lake or venturing to Nyika Plateau, where there's great walking and riding.

Mozambique

Travel is difficult in Mozambique's interior, but two stunning archipelagos have magical tropical islands and the occasional beautiful beach hideaway. The Bazaruto Archipelago is reached from South Africa, and combines well with trips to Botswana and Namibia. Meanwhile it's usually best to fly to the remote northern Quirimbas Archipelago from Tanzania.

Namibia

Namibia's a visually stunning country, where you can drive yourself as easily as you can be flown. Both first-time Africa visitors and safari veterans come for great scenery and wildlife – and all love it!

Rwanda

This small, mountainous central African country is new to tourism after its troubled history. Rwanda's hotels are basic, but its people are fascinating, and a gorilla-watching safari can be absolutely superb.

Tanzania

Tanzania offers a classic combination of big-game safaris and tropical beaches. We feature the more remote game parks in the south and west, including Selous, Ruaha, Katavi and the Mahale Mountains - plus the country's most magical islands and beaches. (We've listed Zanzibar separately, below, as there's just so many options there!)

South Africa's Cape

South Africa is vast, and we feature only the Cape. Come for a weekend or a few weeks to enjoy fine food, wineries and culture. As a bonus you'll find great beaches and, of course, one of the world's most scenic cities.

Zambia

Zambia is a superb safari destination with many tiny, owner-run camps and some of the most knowledgeable guides in the business. Come for 4WD trips and night drives, simply the best walking safaris, and don't forget the spectacle of Victoria Falls.

Zanzibar

Although very much an integral part of Tanzania, Zanzibar is a destination in its own right – and so throughout this website, we've listed it separately. Zanzibar does live up to its magical, evocative name; you will find postcard-perfect beaches, swaying palms and an atmosphere pervaded with exotic spices.

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe's a great country that has been brought to its knees by politics in recent years. We still support a handful of small safari lodges deep in the Zambezi Valley – but visits here are trips for the experienced Africa hands only.
