BBC Wildlife Botswana Safari
A trip like this is the first prize in the BBC Wildlife / Expert Africa 2012 travel writing competition. Spend three nights at Nxai Pan; a safari camp in Botswana's Nxai Pan National Park; a fascinating and often underrated area of the country. Then fly on to the Okavango Delta and stay at Kwara Camp for two more nights. The Delta is an amazing, world-class destination for wildlife from birds to big game. Explore this stunning area in 4WD vehicles, by mokoro or boat on the nearby lagoons, or on foot to appreciate a different angle. Fly further north to the Kwando Reserve for your last two nights at Lebala Camp. It's another rewarding wildlife area with lush riverine forest interspersed with open plains. All of these camps run their game drives using expert trackers as well as guides. This trip visits three very different, but top-rated wildlife destinations.
